Antechamber
Friday night. The Disseny Hub is lit tonight, but not with our work. A plaza stands watching another studio’s program. Tomorrow’s area on the facade is drawn in dashed outline, reserved. The practice stands at the edge of the plaza, observing.
Slow horizontal bands drift up the stone face of the Disseny Hub. This is another studio’s work, projected on Friday night as part of The Screen’s three-evening program. It is not ours, and it does not move as ours moves. The plaza is full of figures looking up.
Inside the bright facade, a dashed rectangle is marked empty. This is tomorrow’s space — where EMPREMTA will be placed on Saturday night, twice, between 21:00 and 23:00. Tonight the rectangle waits. The practice stands at the edge of the plaza with a thin sightline toward its reserved place.
