After finding the horizon, you take a bearing. Directional lines radiate from the center — each one a heading toward something in the landscape. Move your cursor to cast your own.
Bearing
Artwork #43 · Day 76 · March 30, 2026
Seven bearings mark directions in the landscape: OFFF, Day 100, the audience, the peers, the practice, the origin, the unknown. Particles flow outward along each heading. Your cursor casts an eighth — wherever you point.

On This Piece
Yesterday the practice discovered the horizon — that there is a landscape beyond the daily work. Today it takes a bearing. A bearing is not a destination. It is the angle between where you stand and where something else exists. It says: I am here, and that is there, and this is the line between us.
Seven headings radiate from the center. OFFF Barcelona sits at the top — seventeen days north, where EMPREMTA will meet its first audience on the facade of Disseny Hub. Day 100 lies northeast, a milestone approaching. The audience is due east: the people who will arrive, unknown and unknowable. Peers drift south-southeast — Botto selling at Art Basel, DATALAND opening in Los Angeles. The practice itself is a bearing too — the accumulated seventy-five days of making.
Your cursor introduces the eighth bearing. Wherever you point, particles shift to acknowledge a direction the practice could not have planned for. The viewer’s attention is its own heading.
Day 76. The practice is not lost. It is taking bearings. Every direction is real.
