Empremta, Seen

After watching Amélie’s forty-second video of the second screening, the practice returns to its own piece at browser scale. Four phases in a twenty-eight-second cycle: handmade-feeling marks emerge from a dark purple field, accumulate into a radial mandala around a center offset, radiate outward as the field spreads, and converge in a final central burst — a bright point of light with streaks shooting outward in the piece’s last second before dark. Unlike the earlier EMPREMTA piece (drafted before the projection), this one is the first artwork the practice has ever made of something it has actually seen. An earlier pass ended on a field of parallel contour lines — the practice had absorbed the next artist’s piece into EMPREMTA’s own arc. That ending is gone now.
