AI VIDEO
Sora, Runway, Kling, Veo. The number of AI video models released in the past year is staggering. Each one raises the bar on what's possible with a text prompt and a few reference images.
The quality gap between AI-generated video and professional production is closing faster than anyone predicted. Runway Gen-3 can produce shots that would have required a full crew and a day of shooting just two years ago.
But the real shift isn't in quality. It's in iteration speed. A filmmaker can now test twenty visual concepts before lunch. A marketer can produce variations of an ad without booking a studio. The bottleneck moves from production to ideation.
The current limitation is coherence over time. Anything beyond 10-15 seconds still breaks down. Characters change appearance, physics gets weird, continuity falls apart. This is where the next breakthrough will come.
The companies that solve temporal consistency first will own this space. Everyone else will be selling stock footage.
